Book Report The Essential Guide to Writing a Catchy Book Report

Book Report The Essential Guide to Writing a Catchy Book Report WHAT IS A BOOK REPORT? A book report is a kind of essay that sums up, explains or reviews a given book. It can be either factual, asking the student to state and enumerate the facts or analytical, where the student is required to analyze plot, characters, themes, ideas etc. How to Get Ready to Write a Book Report Writing a book report is unthinkable about actually reading the book. The sad part about it is that proper preparation requires you to read the book at least once or more (sorry if you don’t like to read!).  So, the first part is just reading for enjoyment. You should get a general feeling, understanding of what the author is trying to say in the text and grasp its main message. You should get acquainted with the setting, plot, and characters of the book, pick major themes, understand the general setting. If you are an advanced reader and are able to work on the go, you can grab a pencil and a sheet of paper and write down your thoughts and ideas regarding what you have read. These notes will later become an important part of your book report.  In case you are not so experienced with reading and analysis on the go, the best way to work with the book is to read it once, then put it aside for a day or two and then come back to it. That way the information you process will settle down and you will be able to generate ideas. As soon as you feel you are ready, get that book in your hands for a second pass. Ideally, you will need to scan through the book bearing the topic of your book report in mind. Concentrate on what your teacher wants you to do, take notes. HOW TO WRITE A BOOK REPORT Formatting Structure Formatting your book report is probably the easiest part of the paper. It is best to work on it once you are totally done with the entire text. Formatting a book report is generally done according to APA standards; however, MLA formatting is not uncommon. As to the structure, the book report format is a kind of essay and will, therefore, take the basic essay structure and format. Reiterating what has been said, the structure of your book report should include the following parts: an introduction (with the thesis), several body paragraphs and a conclusion. BOOK REPORT FORMAT Language and Tone A book report is completely factual. It has to revolve around facts from the book, and should also include the following information on: Author Title Place and year of publication A brief summary of the content of the book For this reason, language and tone should be objective, impartial and impersonal. Please note, however, that should your teacher require a personal book report format, you will be required to write using the first person, so once again – please check with your instructor prior to starting the actual work. TOP 25 BOOK REPORT IDEAS Book Report: Tips on Writing Post-Writing TIP 1. It’s a good idea to start writing by preparing an outline. If you have done some preparatory reading, the notes you have taken are ideal for this. Once you are done jotting down the points you want to mention, proceed by putting some flesh on the bones, provide details and develop the main ideas. TIP 2. In order to write an effective book report, you will need to elaborate your outline into a draft. The draft doesn’t necessarily have to be tidy and neat – its main purpose is to embrace all the ideas that come up to your head in the process. TIP 3. Once your first draft is finished, read through it and make sure it is relevant and logical. Throw out thoughts that interrupt the logic and flow of the paper. It’s a good idea to review your paper again within several hours after you complete your draft (don’t do it immediately unless absolutely necessary). TIP 4. After your draft has been polished into the final version of your paper, check your grammar and spelling. Try to use a word processor if possible. Typed book reports look better than handwritten ones. They are easier for your teacher to read and they are easier for you to correct. computer underground essays

computer underground essays The Computer Underground. The beginning of the electronic communication revolution that started with the public use of telephones to the emergence of home computers has been accompanied by corresponding social problems involving the activities of so-called "computer hackers," or better referred to as the computer underground (CU). The CU is composed of computer aficionados who stay on the fringes of legality. The CU is composed of relatively intelligent people, in contrast to the media's description of the ultra intelligent and sophisticated teenage "hacker." The majority have in common the belief that information should be free and that they have "a right to know." They often have some amount of dislike for the government and the industries who try to control and commercialize information of any sort. This paper attempts to expose what the CU truly is and dispel some of the myths propagated by the media and other organizations. This paper also tries to show the processes and reasons behind the criminalization of the CU and how the CU is viewed by different organizations, as well as some of the processes by which it came into being. What the CU is has been addressed by the media, criminologists, secuity firms, and the CU themselves, they all have a different understanding or levels of comprehention, this paper attempts to show the differences between the views as well as attempt to correct misunderstandings that may have been propagated by misinformed sources. The differences between the parties of the CU such as, "hackers," "crackers," "phreaks," "pirates," and virus writers have rarely been recognized and some deny that there are differences thus this paper attempts to give a somewhat clearer view and define exactly what each party is and does as well as how they relate to one another. Every individual in the CU has a different level of sophistication when it comes to computers, from the height of the advanced virus writer and networ...

Statistical Process Control Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2500 words

Statistical Process Control - Essay Example There are many factors that affect the scenario like mental focus, body strength, direction of air, kick intensity, shoe structure and level of tiredness etc. Despite these factors the players are selected in teams for their marksmanship. The question that arises here is that if a player cannot exhibit exactly same performance again and again then what the criterion of a player selection is? The answer to this question is very simple. Players are selected on the basis of level of control and their consistency to exhibit that ranged control over and over again. For example if a bull’s eye miss rate of a shooter remains in certain acceptable limits then he would be considered in control of his expertise. Evans J. R. (1991) in his book, indicates that a production process generally comprise of the entities namely People, Materials, Machines, Measurements and Methods. It is observed that these factors are the main causes of variations in a production process. The causes of variati ons are observed to be of two types. Common causes: That can be reduced by introducing changes in the process but cannot be eliminated completely. For example using a better version of sail may improve the output of yachting endeavor. Special causes: however are easy to be figured out and eliminated. For example upon discovery of a malfunction a machine repair can re-align the process of production etc. As mentioned earlier that despite the absence of exact replication, the process are considered and relied upon due to the â€Å"Under Control Factor†, the inception of process control seems essential for almost all processes. The Fundamental Concepts And Aims Of SPC: Regarding the assurance of product quality the conventional approach is to inspect the product after manufacturing in order to pass it or to reject it. This approach is found to be less economical and wasteful since a whole lot of manufactured product may be rejected due to a consistent production flaw. A better a pproach is to timely stop the flawed process of production in order to curb manufacturing of products that do not meet the required specifications. The process oriented approach that emphasizes on analysis of production data produced at runtime in order to control the quality of the product by keeping its construction between specifically determined limits is called Statistical Process Control. The term â€Å"Statistical† indicates the involvement, study and analysis of numeric data values that hold production information. The SPC comprises of, Selection of Observation Samples from process of production. Quality Characteristics Measurement. Data recording and calculations. Construction of Control Charts and other assisting graphs. Chart analysis for problem identification. Cause determination and rectification in case of a problem. The approach of SPC is aimed towards, Optimizing the cost – production ratio. Facilitating the production operators in identifying the prob lems that arise due to the usage of inappropriate materials, tools and equipments. Enabling the operators to determine the normal control limits and bearable ranges of variations in order to ease the process of frequent machine adjustments. Enabling the production managers to assess the capability extent of the production process to which it can produce a product within control limits. Supporting decision making regarding purchase of new equipment. Keeping

Role of Fellowship in Christian Spiritual Healing Dissertation

Role of Fellowship in Christian Spiritual Healing - Dissertation Example PATHOLOGY: Science of bodily diseases including symptoms of a disease. ACCENTUATE: Emphasize SYMBOL: Something regarded by general content as naturally typifying or representing or recalling something by possession of analogous qualities or by association in fact or thought. THERAPY: Medical/treatment of a disease according to Oxford dictionary but in generally understanding refers to all measures taken to attain or restore optimal health of humanity SACRAMENT: Religious ceremony or act regarded as outward and visible sign of inward and spiritual grace. AUTHENTIC: Leadership especially one state. 1 INTRODUCTION Many therapy practices like medical intervention, counseling and prayer have received the attention of researchers. There are subjects on healing and fellowship which are studied by many authors as well, for example, Louw et al (1994); however there seems to be no studies which focus on role of fellowship in healing. Warren 2002:138 has captured the importance of fellowship as he states, â€Å"God intends for us to experience life together†. This concept of togetherness and shared experience is referred to as ‘fellowship’ in the bible. The focus of this research is to explore the role of fellowship in spiritual healing. Though the researcher is not really interested in doing research just for the sake of doing it but because of the personal attachment researcher has with the topic itself. The researcher is prepared and committed to the subject and has a passion in the said area which has made the researcher impatient to see the contribution this study will make to the existing body of literature as well as to the society. Demerits of Advertising Essay Example for Free

Demerits of Advertising Essay Advertising is a form of communication used to encourage or persuade an audience (viewers, readers or listeners) to continue or take some new action. Most commonly, the desired result is to drive consumer behavior with respect to a commercial offering, although political and ideological advertising is also common. The purpose of advertising may also be to reassure employees or shareholders that a company is viable or successful. Advertising messages are usually paid for by sponsors and viewed via various traditional media; including mass media such as newspaper, magazines, television commercial, radio advertisement, outdoor advertising or direct mail; or new media such as websites and text messagesModern advertising developed with the rise of mass production in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Type Demerits1 Demerits of Advertising (Objections) Various objections against it may be listed as follows: 1. Economic Objections a) Advertising is not productive. It is true that it does not produce any tangible goods. It is said to involve wasteful expenditure. b) It forces people to desire and buy goods, which, in fact, are not within their means.  c) It increases the cost of goods. Advertising charges are included in the price, which the consumer has to pay. d) Advertising results in monopoly. The consumer becomes a slave to a particular brand. 2. Social Objections a) Most of the advertisements contain tall claims and the consumers do not enjoy the benefits advertisement in full. They are shortlived only. b) The press is influenced by the advertisers because they provide major revenue for the existence of newspapers. 3. For example alcoholic drinks and cigarettes. b) People with less purchasing power cannot afford to buy articles even though advertisements create a strong need in them. Thus a section of society remains discontented. Whatever may be said against advertising, it is increasingly used almost in every branch of business to promote sales. It is not merely a means of sales promotion but today it has become a science equivalent to any other social science. Mostly the commodities related to comforts and luxuries are advertised, for example, cigarettes, cosmetic goods and etc. due to advertisement of cigarettes several persons start smoking cigarettes, which becomes habit. Reduces cleanliness: It reduces cleanliness. Large number of posters and writings on the walls are used for advertisement. This makes the roads and the walls of the houses look dirty. Studying and Treating the Communicative Dyad Essay -- Medical Conditio

Aphasia is a communication disorder that affects not only the communication of the individual but also the communication of the people who interact with the individual on a regular basis. Language intervention, therefore, should include a component of training and educating the caregivers as well as the person with aphasia (Purdy & Hindenlang, 2005). In recent years, speech-language pathologists (SLPs) have begun to take more of a social context approach to aphasia intervention, making it more functional for the client and including the caregivers through training (Turner & Whitworth, 2006). Many studies have investigated different types of caregiver training programs and their effectiveness on improved communication between the person with aphasia (PWA) and his or her caregiver (Hopper, Holland, & Rewega, 2002; Purdy & Hindenlang, 2005; Turner & Whitworth, 2006). While these studies suggest that caregiver training programs improve the communication dyad, there is little existing evi dence to suggest that skills learned through these programs generalize to settings outside of the therapy room. The types of caregiver training programs, the programs’ effectiveness, and their long-term outcomes have been reviewed by Turner and Whitworth (2006). There were three major types of conversation partner training (CPT) programs that the researchers identified in the available literature. One type was Conversation Analysis motivated therapy, which encourages collaborative conversation, and the communication partners shape their responses based on the previous conversational turn. In this manner, both conversational partners have a responsibility to do their part in achieving a successful interaction. Another type of CPT examined in the rev... ...econd, this study may provide further support for the benefits of actively including the spouse or caregiver in therapy. Finally, it may provide a detailed training program that SLPs can use when training caregivers and loved ones of people with aphasia that could be used as part of the therapeutic process in addition to traditional therapy aimed at improving the communication of the person with aphasia. Medical Marijuana Dispensaries Claiming Non-Profit Status for Profit Essays

Medical Marijuana Dispensaries Claiming Non-Profit Status for Profit Essays Medical Marijuana Dispensaries Claiming Non-Profit Status for Profit Essay Medical Marijuana Dispensaries Claiming Non-Profit Status for Profit Essay Medical Marijuana Dispensaries Claiming Non-Profit Status for Net income I. Introduction/Background The usage of marihuana as medicine alternatively of entirely for recreational intents is far from absurd in today s society. Marijuana is being used to handle all times of wellness issues and jobs. Some of these issues include epilepsy in kids, glaucoma, catamenial spasms, megrim concerns, and the list goes on. Medical marihuana has become a human dynamo subject in a sense. Many provinces have decided to legalise the sale and usage of marihuana, and this has caused the issue to turn daily on a national graduated table. Many unfavorable judgments go along with this new age doctrine, and whether they be good or bad this subject is an on-going issue. Many provinces have imposed Torahs sing the usage of medical marihuana. Most people, including myself before researching this subject, cognize nil about as to how this freshly developing industry really works. And, I decidedly had no hint that medical marihuana dispensaries are registering as non-profit organisations in order to derive net income. Non-profit organisations are one of the chief sectors in the field of public disposal. Public decision makers are frequently in charge of the twenty-four hours to twenty-four hours agendas for this organisations, whether it be organisational, fiscal, or strategic planning. Typically, non-profits are charitable organisations within our communities. Harmonizing to a Cornell University article that explains the kineticss of the non-profit sector, Non-profit organisations include churches, public schools, public charities, public clinics and infirmaries, political organisations, legal assistance societies, voluntary services organisations, labour brotherhoods, professional associations, research institutes, museums, and some governmental bureaus ( Cornel Legal Information Institute ) . Yes, medical marihuana dispensaries are being classified as non-profit good and service organisations. To understand why this is an issue, it must be understood what it means to be a non-profit organisat ion. A non-profit organisation is a group organized for intents other than bring forthing net income and in which no portion of the organisation s income is distributed to its members, managers, or officers ( Cornel LII ) . The job that arises is that proprietors are utilizing the non-profit sector as a agency to derive net income. This being because they so are able to go exempt of some of the countenances and revenue enhancements that would be imposed if they were merely run as a regular dispensary. By registering as a non-profit organisation, dispensary proprietors are doing utmost sums of money, merely as a drug trader would on the street. The inquiry so is whether or non dispensaries should be allowed to register as non-profit to avoid revenue enhancements on their ware. II. Medical Marijuana as a Non-Profit Resource The major statute law that trades with the revenue enhancements imposed on drug dispensaries in entitled 280E. In the article The Federal Government is Taxing Marijuana Businesses to Death, subdivision 280E is explained as: Section 280E was originally passed in 1982 to forestall drug traders from subtracting disbursals related to the trafficking of schedule1 or 2 substances, including marihuanas, from their federal revenue enhancements. But in recent old ages the IRS has used subdivision 280E to travel after state-legal marihuana concerns, since they technically deal in a agenda 1 substance, the federal authorities s strictest categorization for an illegal drug ( Lopez, 2014 ) . This has put many dispensaries out of concern, which is why many are now seeking to register as non-profits. They are being badly over taxed and are non seeing any net income in the gross revenues of their merchandises, but there is a manner around this route block. That manner is non-profit position. In an article published in the Iowa Law Review by Benjamin Lett, we are given insight into the grounds as to why dispensaries are make up ones minding to take this path alternatively of registering as a regular dispensary. The article proposes a revenue enhancement scheme for dispensary traders to avoid 280E by registering as a non-profit ( Lett, 2014, p. 2 ) . The IRS has antecedently acknowledged that fact that a dispensary can non register for 501 ( degree Celsius ) ( 3 ) position because under it a charity can non hold intents that are contrary to jurisprudence ( Lett, 2014, p. 2 ) . But, the loophole is that they can acquire off with registering for 501 ( degree Celsius ) ( 4 ) und er a societal public assistance organisation ( Lett, 2014, p. 3 ) To measure up as a  § 501 ( degree Celsius ) ( 4 ) organisation, a marihuana marketer would hold to run into four statutory demands: ( 1 ) It must hold a proper tax-free intent ( 2 ) It must non administer its net incomes to any private individuals ( 3 ) It must avoid inordinate campaign-related political activity ( 4 ) It must non run in an excessively commercial mode ( Lett, 2014, p.3 ) In his program, Lett ( 2014 ) proposes that, a marihuana marketer could run to progress the intent of bettering a vicinity s societal and economic conditions by supplying occupation preparation, employment chances, and enhanced concern conditions for commercial development in the vicinity ( p. 7 ) . This manner all financess would be intended to better the societal state of affairs of the country in which the dispensary is located. In this sense dispensaries would be runing in the same revenue enhancement footings of occupation just organisations, wellness carnivals, or anything that strives to better the economic sciences of the country. Equally long as the dispensary is located in a hapless community so they can run under 501 ( degree Celsius ) ( 4 ) position. This is controversial because the purpose of the financess is clearly celebrated, but where do the financess really travel? All that is necessary to run into the demands of 501 ( degree Celsius ) ( 3 ) and 501 ( degree Cel sius ) ( 4 ) is a group of people who moderately believe that their proposed activities credibly advance their proper tax-free intents. The jurisprudence does non necessitate any specific degree of cogent evidence that such activities would hold the desired consequence ( Lett, 2014, p. 8 ) III. Resistance of Medical Marijuana as a Non-Profit Resource Medical marihuana dispensaries try difficult to keep the visual aspect that they are non-profit-making wellness centres. Customers are referred to as â€Å"patients, † and ware as â€Å"medicine.† Yoga categories are frequently available, along with health-related literature ( Elinson, 2011 ) . A major job is that a medical marihuana dispensary is non a doctor’s office or a wellness nutrient shop as they are being portrayed. While mentioning to the marihuana as medical specialty seems to be working, this is non wholly true because marihuana has non been approved by the Federal Drug Administration ( FDA ) . Harmonizing to this extract taken from the FDA web site: The FDA has non approved any merchandise containing or derived from botanical marihuana for any indicant. This means that the FDA has non found any such merchandise to be safe or effectual for the intervention of any disease or status. The FDA will go on to ease the work of companies interested in suitably conveying safe, effectual, and quality merchandises to market, including scientifically-based research refering the medicative utilizations of marihuana. ( FDA, 2014 ) Zusha Elinson ( 2011 ) , of the New York Times, writes that, â€Å"The rivers of hard currency flowing in and out of these concerns are pulling examination from local and federal governments who say they are seeking to separate between legitimate wellness practicians and Sellerss of illegal drugs. In San Jose, California constabularies have taken to busting some of these supposed community profiting medical marihuana dispensaries. Frank Carrubba, the deputy territory lawyer in Santa Clara County, stated that, â€Å"We’re seeking to acquire to a point where we can weed out – for deficiency of a better word – to filtrate out the people that are truly corrupting this jurisprudence merely to sell drugs† ( Elinson, 2011 ) . In one of the foraies, Carrubba said that, â€Å"One leger, kept at the bantam dispensary, showed New Age Healing losing $ 123,128 since May, harmonizing to the constabulary. Another, which the constabulary said had been discovered inside a cash-filled shoe box in the place of the twosome that operated the centre, told a different narrative: $ 222,238 in net incomes ( Elinson, 2011 ) . This is merely information from one of the many foraies that have occurred in San Jose. San Jose has 98 dispensaries entirely, which is four times the figure of A ; -Eleven convenience shops in the metropolis ( Elinson, 2011 ) . District Attorney James Fox, of San Mateo County, provinces, â€Å"Dispensaries functioning 100s of patients are barely non-profit co-ops. Can you explicate to me any difference between these dispensaries and Safeway shops? These agriculturists are doing money. They’re non non-profit organisations ( Manekin, 2007 ) . This clearly shows that the net incomes are being unregistered and kept personally by the dispensary proprietors. The jurisprudence clearly states that the fundss must be distributed or donated for good and non maintain for net income. So how is it legal for dispensary proprietors to be able to acquire around the jurisprudence? Technically it’s non, but they are utilizing this revenue enhancement loophole to their advantage. That’s why so much contention has arose from their seeking to crush the system and registry as non-profit organisations. IV. An Appraisal of Each Side My analysis of these dispensaries favors the resistance of medical marihuana being marketed as a non-profit good. I am in no manner excusing or O.K.ing of the usage of medical marihuana, and my analysis is purely based on the legal point of view on both sides. On one side we have a strategic program, and the other the recoil that occurs from following it. I will acknowledge that the dislocation of the program and the coverage of all the Immigration and Naturalization Services and outs is a good 1. But, it still requires dispensary proprietors to publicize their goods and services as something they are non. Marijuana is so non lawfully classified as a medicine, and dispensary proprietors are decidedly non physicians or licensed medicine distributers. So, they are willing to flex the truth merely to state that they are recommending for the wellness and health of the communities in which they are located. From my research I have concluded that even though there has been a on the job loophole in the system found, it does non do it right. I would sort these dispensaries registering for non-profit position and pocketing the net incomes as fraud. The deceitful activity comes in where proprietors have been discovered to be beliing financess, and concealing financess for their personal benefit. I think the foraies are really an effectual maneuver to weed out the dispensaries that are misapplying the non-profit sector to their advantage. It was interesting see review the Numberss for the information that was provided for New Age Healing, in contrast to the existent net income records that were kept hidden. They were lying to the IRS stating that they lost 100,000 plus dollars, when they really gained 200,000 plus in net income. Net income that was neer theirs to pocket in the first topographic point, harmonizing to the Torahs of which they registered for 501 ( degree Celsius ) ( 4 ) position . V. Conclusion In decision, I think that if medical marihuana dispensaries are traveling to be allowed to register under non-profit position, so their fundss and investings sound be continually monitored to see that they are staying within the kingdom of the jurisprudence. This would be difficult to make unless a undertaking force was formed that focused specifically on this affair. But, marijuana whether medical or non still has a bad repute, irrespective of its being legalized or non. Peoples are taking advantage of the drug and seeking to obtain medical cards for minor nutriments in order to utilize it recreationally. This in a sense still makes the dispensary proprietors recreational drug organisations. While marihuana is being proven to relieve symptoms of some major jobs, it would non be such an issue if so many people did non seek and mistreat it. This maltreatment puts a load on those who are earnestly ill that it is really profiting. During my surveies in chase of a Public Administration grade, here at the University, I have taken a great involvement in the country of non-profit organisations. Public decision makers are trained to supervise and pull off all facets of the public universe, including non-profit organisations. I so inquire the inquiry of who is in charge these so called wellness advocating centres. Have these proprietors been trained to cover with and administrate the populace? Have they been trained how to distribute and put the fundss of these organisations? The reply is likely no. Having this be such a large affair within the non-profit sector besides, in my sentiment, puts force per unit area on other organisations. If people are happening ways to do dispensaries seem good to society, so what other things are really being portrayed as something else? I am interested to see if any new statute law is issued to turn to this turning issue in the coming old ages. Should medical marihuana dispensaries be allowed to utilize non-profit position to do a personal net income? In my sentiment, no, they should non. VI. Mentions Elinson, Z. ( 2011, January 8 ) . Analysis of television and ads - Essay Example Nevertheless, the history of the electronic television as we know it today can be traced back to the genius of three major people, starting with Thomas Edison, who discovered what he referred to as telephonescope, which was a system that allowed pictures and sound to be seen and heard in a different location, from where they were being taken (Abramson, 47). Fundamentally, it is the invention by Edison that first proved it could be able to combine and transmit both light and sound concurrently (Downing, 13). Thus, even the later engineers and inventors who later perfected the art of television production recognized that, the basis upon which the television was developed, was the fundamentals â€Å"which Edison helped to erect† , despite the fact that Edison did not bear any direct relations to the creation of Television (Gutterman, 243). It is his invention that laid the groundwork for its development, through demonstrating the major concept of light and sound combination and t ransmission, all at the same time. Vladimir Zworykin is the other major inventor in the field of Television invention, who consumed two decades, between 1919 and 1939, developing the concept invented by Edison, and finally coming up with the ‘iconoscope’, which was used to scan pictures, which would then be transmitted alongside sound (Downing, 30). Further, another major inventor in the Television development emerged, in the name of Philo Farnesworth who dedicate much of his time in devising a system of transmitting images and sound at the same time, and he finally managed to put up a concept in 1927, which indicated that his system was â€Å"able to transmit an image from one of his early camera tubes, proving that his new system would work" (Abramson, 105). After the inventions, both Zworykin and Farnesworth shared their patents with different broadcasting companies which then used the camera dissectors they had developed to transmit and air content on television se ts. The Television set invention and development can be traced to the work of Paul Nipkow, a technician in Germany, who developed an electronic device that could be used to relay both images and sound, in 1884 (Gutterman, 107). Important turning points in the evolution of the television The major turning point in the history of television occurred with the introduction of the first television broadcast. The first television broad cast that was publicly announced occurred in the USA in 1928, followed by the UK and Germany in 1929, and then France and the Soviet Union in 1931 (Downing, 28). However, the pioneer manufacture of the commercial television set was a German company, Telefunken, which had collaborated with Zworykin to have him share his patented ‘iconoscope’, which was then used to develop the television set by the company in Germany, in 1934 (Abramson, 102). The first type of television that was introduced for broadcasting was the mechanical television, which a pplied mechanical scanning devices to generate and transmit video signals, applying the disk that was discovered by a German technician, and became popularly known as the Nipkow disk, which was a rotating disc that could transmit pictures over a wire cable (Gutterman, 233). However, considering that the picture quality applied by the mechanical te

It is also important for teacher trainers to adapt and familiarize themselves with emerging technologies that boost student engagement and participation in class. The purpose of this research was to establish, test and verify the attitudes of junior high school students towards the use of technology using the Attitudes Toward Technology Scale for Junior High School Students as developed in 2005 by Yu et al. The study was to specifically establish a model of junior high school students’ attitudes toward technology, determine the relevance of the model and analyze the correlations among the various factors in the model. These factors are based either in the affective domain or PATT and its related studies. (Yu et al, 2012). The study also identifies three theoretical schemes of attitude towards technology as perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and behavior and intention use. The findings of this study show that identification with technology and experience with technology curricula were the primary factors influencing the students’ intentions to pursue careers in technology (Yu et al,
